This section is for reviews of universities and colleges.  Although there are already guides to universities they are often written in league with the universities which score well in the criteria.  The Times University Guide is researched by Exeter University - nepotism is alive and well in Higher Education!  This guide is about what's important to students and it includes Further Education as well as Higher Education.

Get writing guys!  Tell us what its really like at your university... Do the staff help you learn?  Or are they too busy for you?  Do they make you feel stupid for not knowing?  Is your institution ageist?  Or is it really 21st century and value people from all walks of life?  How does your institution help you?  And tell us the gossip... are the teachers at your uni any good?  What are the materials like... are they up to date?  Are you lectured at or does your teacher allow for different learning styles?

Now that students are paying huge fees for an education, consumer rights are affecting students and their institutions.  If you are not getting value for money then we have to consider liability... liability for poor materials or poor teaching.  If credit card companies can be equally liable, with the vendor, for faulty goods then surely credit card companies, banks and councils (who all lend money to students and profit from it) can be liable for poor education.  Are you getting value for money?

If you want to sound off about your institution - good or bad - let us know at studentlaw@live.co.uk
